My video game guisterax is now beeing hosted on dsource, a web site that host projects that use the great D programing language.

You can check guisterax web page, and from there get the last version of the game.

new game : guisterax

The last weeks I have been starting a new video game, called guisterax.
The game is written in the D language,
and I used blender to do the graphics.

It is inspired by the old mac game maelstrom. In the game you control a ship and have to destroy asteroids in a closed space (yes, nothing new there, I know)

You can get the linux version here, and the windows version there.

D is really a cool language, and now that a compiler has been included in the ubuntu packages it becomes very easy to install and use it.

Helvin Space Trip ! What is going on ?

Some people are asking what is going on with my video game... Well, I haven't been working a lot on it recently, but I did continue the story a little bit.

I think I will come out with the first playable version next year (we have to be patient cause I work very slowly) I will also design a real web site for the game engine so that interested people can use it to create there own games (everything is under GPL license).

Here are the pictures of some animals from the zoo (in the game the zoo is in fact a machine that can produce animals from DNA information, one of the puzzles is to mix some of the DNAs to create a specific animal)





Here is a draft for a background. The machines are tele-transporters, if you hack it you can turn it into a replicator, then you will have to duplicate yourself (and later kill one of your self :-) )

Ponus change name, and got a sourceforge hosting

My video game project (until now known as ponus) finally got a name :
The game engine will be called "pyonus" (because it is done in python), and the game itself name is "helvin space trip".

I also opened a sourceforge account for the project here.

So I finally got some pictures of Taipei.
For Chinese new year we have been hiking and hot springing in the mountains near Taipei. Unfortunately we don't have pictures of the hot spring.

Quantum Physics simulations

I really should speak about Taiwan where I am now, but I haven't been doing much funny things here so far (I am very short on money...)
I also don't have a camera, which is a rather big issue for someone who want to blog about Taiwan.

Well since I am too poor to go out in all the great clubs of Taipei like I wish I could, I spent time on my second hobby : quantum physic simulations.
